3. General Application Deadlines

 

  • In general, universities in the Republic of Ireland accept recognized public entrance exams from other countries.  Your transcript will also be considered.  To have a realistic prospect of admittance, you should have grades of A or B in relevant courses. Irish universities start their term in September and February. The application deadline is usually a few weeks before the term starts; some exceptions are made to the deadlines for exceptional reasons

  • You should allow 6 to 8 weeks for your visa to be processed.
  • Documentation necessary for a student visa:
  1. Valid passport
  2. Proof of your educational qualifications
  3. Letter acceptance from a recognized institution into a full-time course (definted as 15 hours per week)
  4. Proof of English proficiency
  5. Private Medical Insurance
  6. Proof of sufficient funds to maintain yourself for the first part of your stay (7000 euros)
